No camera's please!
I was reading a story today about Sean Penn stationed in PAP, Haiti. He was upset that the country was not prepared for disasters and still did not have enough aid to keep them going. The country was short on meds and all kinds of supplies. News flash Mr. Penn, this has been going on a lot longer than the earthquake. So why start showing up now? Well, I figure its what keeps them in the spotlight. I know several people who have sacrificed their time and energy and you'll never see them on Larry King or CNN. To them I say thank you. But Mr. Penn I say thank you too. At least you are there trying to help. There are several groups of people around this world that need us. But not only do they need us, but they need to be shown the love of Christ. If we continually go and do things for them they never seek out on their own to succeed. We must train them to understand why we care for them, and its because of what God has done for us. Others who were trained helped us make that decision in our lives. Now that we understand that kind of love, we strive to want to share it with others. But don't do it to be boastful. Make it sincere. So...as I end my rant here...Mr. Penn if you really want them to understand what kind of love you want to give them, give them the same love Christ gave us, and no camera's please. Today I live and think of verse Philippians 2:1-3
