Back to my daily walk
Its been too long since I visited back to this place. Does this mean I have strayed away from God? Maybe just a little...okay lets stop fooling around....I forgot He never forgets. Everytime I want to post, I find an excuse of why I can't. But yesterday God reminded me of sometimes our words are inspirational to others and I also have a friend I call a brother who reminded me to write. I work as an owner/technician on heating and air conditioning systems. I had worked all day by myself on a 92 degree day ( the first heat wave of the year ) and everyone decided to try the ol' a/c out. Many found that it worked and many found out it didn't. Those who chose me, gave a call. By 6 pm I was tired and hot. But a call came in that someone had no a/c. They were renting a home and to tell the truth renters are usually the worst due to they never take care of the system or think about changing the filter. So I had a bad attitude leaving the house. The attitude of hurry up and get it fixed! I arrive, check the system, found a shorted start capacitor, replaced it, buckled up the system, headed into the house to let them know I was done. When I went into the home I noticed the woman had a strong accent. I began asking her where she was from and she began telling me she was from Cuba and her husband was from Dominican Republic....ooooo an open door to tell her of my mission trip coming up in D.R. There was a man there that helps her with english and knows her due to he leads trips to Cuba and has for years. We talked about life and the wonderful things God does for us. It turned out to be a good trip. I said my goodbyes and walked out to the truck. When I was getting in the man that helps her with the english followed me. He thanked me and began telling me that the woman was 3 months pregnant and she already has had 3 miscarriages. He asked more about the trips. I told him more of what we do and how we love on children. He shook my hand and walked away. Before I started the truck he walked back up to me. He asked how I raised my funds and I told him by fund raising or monetary gifts. He said "Well let me see what I can do". He reached in his pocket for his wallet and reached for a $50 bill...when it wasn't there he said "well I was gonna give you a $50 but the Lord replaced it with this $100 bill". Wow...I thanked him and he was glad to give and I left for home. I had totally forgot about what time of night it was and had totally forgot how hot I was. The Lord gave me the strength to finish the day, but He also reminded me that as a Christian, we are not an 8-5 business. We are to operate at all hours no matter our call in life. Sorry I ever forgot this! Today I live and think of verse Psalm 119:93
