Peace on Earth!?! What does that mean? Everyday we either pray for peace, or we rely on the "Washington Leaders". To have actual peace...is it possible? I think back to when Christ was born. The world stood still, even the animals. The king had arrived! But it only lasted a short time. To this day, that is the only time this earth has experienced peace. Jesus Christ had come to save us and due to us being so wrapped up in ourselves, we forget the reason for the season. I went shopping during the holidays and experienced hate, rudeness, and even (on the Television) death. We continue every day in the same patterns. What is it gonna take for this nation and world to be peaceful? Answer. The return of Christ. As great as that sounds, its not so great. Growing up we all heard the famous lines from our parents..."don't make me come down!" Well that is what God is trying to say to us every day. If Christ has to return, its because we failed to take care of one another like we should. But even though we may not be ready, He could return tomorrow. Are you ready? I'm not. I need to get things straight in my life just like everyone else. I want God to look me in the eye and say "Thank you son...you did well" But at this time I can tell you, He won't be saying that. So, I've got to get right with the world, tell everyone about Him, show the love of God, and live in peace with myself. Today I live and think of verse Psalm 122:8

Well the new year is getting closer! I'm sure we are all thinking of our new year resolution to get off on the right foot for the year. Some will try a new diet, stop cursing, or even try fasting from something. We all have something that we want to change in the new year. Mine would be that I would not fail. May it be life, spiritual, or business. I can tell you right now that I make bad decisions sometimes. I'm not perfect, but it's ok, God forgives. When I take a wrong turn in life, spiritual, or business, God helps me out. Sometimes I can even feel Him bop me on the head now and then to remind me He is close. There are new ledges in life I want to try and He helps hold the ladder. Without Him I would fall everyday. The days I do fall, He is the first to pick me up. He has become my spiritual trampoline. Don't be afraid to step out this year. It may be something new you want to try or something you just can't conquer. Rely on Him to help you out this new year....He won't fail you! Today I live and think of verses 1 John 4:15-17

I have had a rough past couple of months with surgerical procedures and therapy for my knee. Just being 30, it makes you feel older than you really are. Everday its a uphill climb and somedays along the way I hit a plateau, but there is still the rest of the mountain. How do you get there? If you have ever seen someone climb mountains you notice there are lots of equipment involved, training, and support. In life we need those same things to climb those mountains in life. The equipment we all must need is the word of God. I'm not a huge reader, and at times fail on reading my bible like I should. But that piece of equipment is something I need on those days I face a challenge. The training we need in life is what it teaches us. Also another good training device is watching and listening to someone who has faced that challenge and conquered it. They know the paths and most of the time are willing to help. The support we have is friends, prayer, spouses, and sometimes a good attitude. The biggest support we have is God. He told us he would never leave us or forsake us...GOD don't LIE! Through the whole process He's been there to help me with every climb. When I hit a plateau, He shows me the path to the rest of the mountain. Without Him, how could I ever be able to conquer? Today I live and think of verses James 1:2-6

The new year is getting closer and Christmas is near. This time of year is a good time to reflect on what new friends you have made this year. I have made lots. I traveled with a number of people from different parts of the U.S. when I traveled to Ethiopia this year. I even made lifetime friends that I will always pray for and never forget in Ethiopia. Friends are something a person must have to survive. They are people you can talk to and share thoughts with from day to day. Some friends become best friends that you continually talk to and some become spouse's. If in this world we all could work on making a new friend each month no matter their color, religion, or their personal style, this world could be a better place. I enjoy my friends and I enjoy their company. I might not always agree with them, but they will always be my friend. If you read this...you are my friend. Today I live and think of verse John 15:13.

Its almost Christmas and I can't wait to spend time with the family. I love spending time with the fam but I'm not a very good person to receive gifts. I love giving them, but not at receiving. The reason I hate it is that I don't need a thing. I have a beautiful home, wife, and just about every gadgit known to man. (Which were mostly gifts to me.) Spending time overseas and seeing how people who are poor and in bad health live, makes me more aware of how I live my life today. God is all I need! Today I live and think of verses Romans 12:5-13
